Graduate Entrepreneurial Program (GEP) Workshop

24 July 2009

The ECIC offers scholarships to support the development of innovative entrepreneurial business ideas through its Graduate Entrepreneurial Program (GEP). The GEP is a suite of 3 programs: the Business Initiatives from Graduates (BIG), the Graduate Business Support Scheme (GBSS) and the Premier’s Enterprise Scholarship (PES). GEP applicants can apply for a broad range of business support and training, including serviced offices in the University of Adelaide's Student Entrepreneurial Incubator (ThInc Lab).

To ensure your GEP application is successful, why not attend our introductory workshop? How to turn a great idea into an even greater application is an introductory 'start your own business' workshop for those aspiring entrepreneurs with a business idea, but not quite sure where to start. Participants will be given a basic understanding of how to assess and develop ideas and opportunities, together with a basic understanding of the business creation process. Entrepreneurs from the Program will discuss their business creation experiences, and information will be provided about the applications process.

Please visit the ECIC Event Calendar for more information.

The University of Adelaide's Entrepreneurs' Challenge 2009

1 June 2009

The Entrepreneurs' Challenge is a business plan competition targeted at university students, general and professional staff (from any discipline). This competition is also open to students/staff from other universities, TAFE and the broader community. The echallenge is open to teams of two to six people to develop a business plan for a new, previously unfunded concept. The competition aims to foster the successful development of new ideas into investment-ready, early-stage companies.

The echallenge stimulates innovation and entrepreneurship and creates genuine commercial prospects for the benefit of South Australia. The competition also educates entrants about the process of getting a viable business idea off the ground. And with thousands in prizes, it is certainly more than an exercise in writing a good business plan!
