Commercialisation

Our Commercialisation programs are aimed at professionals who want to improve commercialisation outcomes in the global arena. These programs focus on the transfer of research, science and knowledge into the marketplace.

The ability to commercialise new knowledge rapidly is essential for competitive advantage in dynamically changing private and public sector environments. Commercialisation is key to the reinvention of organisations and the basis for the creation of new knowledge-based enterprises.

Through our range of commercialisation programs you will have the opportunity to gain the knowledge and innovation skills to cope with the formidable economic, social, financial, and political changes associated with creating value from knowledge in an age of global information and digital knowledge. The focus is on the rapid transfer of research, knowledge, and technology from the laboratory to the market.

Commercialisation Programs

The ECIC offers the flagship degree of Master of Science and Technology Commercialisation (MSTC). The MSTC offers candidates an opportunity to learn in a thorough and dynamic manner about the commercialisation process in the global arena, and to then apply that learning via participation in a Commercialisation Project. The Project enables participants to undertake work-based commercialisation projects that examine the commercialisation potential of intellectual property or technologies supplied by the participant or the ECIC.

For those people seeking shorter program options, the ECIC offers the Graduate Certificate in Science & Technology Commercialisation, and the Graduate Diploma in Science & Technology Commercialisation. Both the Certificate and Diploma lead into the MSTC and provide early exit points for those not wishing to complete the full Masters Program.

Flexible Study

Postgraduate course work is compacted into intensive sessions designed to fit around busy work and family schedules. Students are not required to attend weekly lectures and tutorials, but instead attend a two or three day opening intensive and a one or two day closing intensive.

Online discussions are an important element of the delivery, and online attendance of intensives is available for some courses. Students must complete assignments and other assessment items during the time between opening and closing intensives. Part time study options are available across all programs.
