Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Programs in Innovation and Entrepreneurship are designed to develop and inspire creative individuals with an interest in starting innovative ventures that have the potential to make significant impacts on markets, economies and communities. They are designed for those who wish to directly undertake, support, finance or facilitate the creation and growth of new ventures that are based upon market disruptive ideas, significantly changing the status quo.

Programs offer students the knowledge and skills to assess and implement new ideas, create and manage ambitious new ventures, develop entrepreneurial management practices, and create supportive environments that foster and enable innovation.

Graduates are expected to be involved in positively influencing and altering the market dynamics of the world we live in. Students are often engaged in, or aspire to be engaged in:

  • The start-up and growth of new ventures
  • Corporate innovation and entrepreneurship
  • The venture capital, banking or informal investment industries
  • Government or other policy or regional development agencies or authorities
  • Support services to new ventures and the SME sector
  • The social sector that supports and facilitates independence, development and growth of communities

Innovation and Entrepreneurship Programs

The suite of Innovation and Entrepreneurship coursework programs range from a Bachelor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship to Graduate Certificates in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (commercial focus) and Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation (social focus), to a Masters program incorporating an applied project.

AACSB AccreditedThe Master of Applied Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Bachelor of Innovation Entrepreneurship are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International, based in the United States.

Founded in 1916, AACSB is the global accrediting body for business schools that offer programs in business and accounting. AACSB Accreditation is known worldwide as the longest standing, most internationally recognised form of specialised accreditation that an institution and its business programs can earn.

Flexible Study

Innovation and Entrepreneurship programs can be studied full or part-time and are available in two delivery modes:

Online
Study is 100% online through the University’s Learning Management System: LEARN. For more information please visit MAIE Online.

Intensive
Course attendance is compacted into intensive sessions designed to fit around busy work and family schedules. Students typically attend a two/three-day opening intensive and a two/three-day closing intensive per course. Additionally students complete assessment items between opening and closing intensives.
