Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Programs in Innovation and Entrepreneurship are designed to develop and inspire creative individuals with an interest in starting innovative ventures that have the potential to make significant impacts on markets, economies and communities. They are designed for those who wish to directly undertake, support, finance or facilitate the creation and growth of new ventures that are based upon market disruptive ideas, significantly changing the status quo.

Programs offer students the knowledge and skills to assess and implement new ideas, create and manage ambitious new ventures, develop entrepreneurial management practices, and create supportive environments that foster and enable innovation.

Graduates are expected to be involved in positively influencing and altering the market dynamics of the world we live in. Students are often engaged in, or aspire to be engaged in:

  • Corporate innovation and entrepreneurship
  • The venture capital, banking or informal investment industries
  • Government or other policy or regional development agencies or authorities

Flexible Study

University of Adelaide Students
Postgraduate course work is compacted into intensive sessions designed to fit around busy work and family schedules. Students are not required to attend weekly lectures and tutorials, but instead come to our Adelaide or Sydney (where applicable) campus to complete a two-day opening intensive and a two-day closing intensive. Students must complete assignments and other assessment items during the time between opening and closing intensives. Part time study options are available across all programs.

OUA Students
OUA offers each course in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program in four study periods (13 weeks each) throughout the year, this gives students multiple points of entry into the program. Courses are taught entirely by distance education and study materials are dispatched at the start of each study period. Students can take a maximum of two years to complete the program, or fast-track and complete the program in as little as 13 weeks.
