There are no entry requirements for studying individual OUA units offered by the ECIC on a non-award basis. However as enrolment is restricted, please speak with Karen Snook prior to enrolling so that OUA can process your enrollment.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program

How to Enrol

Once your application for entry into the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program has been accepted, OUA will contact you and assist you through the enrolment process.

OUA offers the flexibility of four (13 week) study periods throughout the year. You can begin your studies in any one of these study periods so long as you enrol before the close of enrolment date. Please refer to the OUA Academic Calendar for important dates. You can complete your studies over a maximum of two years. Please note that deferral of study is not available, therefore please only enrol into the units that you intend to study in the next study period..

We recommend that you begin your Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program with Opportunity Assessment. If you would like to discuss your study options, please contact Karen Snook.

How to Graduate

Once you have completed the four units required for the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program through OUA, you are eligible to apply to graduate from The University of Adelaide with a Graduate Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. This means you will have the opportunity to attend a University of Adelaide graduation ceremony. Graduation ceremonies are held twice a year - in April and August. There are a few steps you need to complete before you can apply to graduate with The University of Adelaide:

  1. Once you have enrolled into your last unit with OUA, apply for admission into the Graduate Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship through SATAC, you can search for this program using the SATAC code: 3GC048. For help with the admission process, please contact the SATAC enquiry service. Admission costs approximately $40 AUD.

  2. Obtain an academic transcript from OUA. Please note that an OUA academic transcript costs approximately $10 AUD.

  3. Download an application for credit form.

  4. Submit the application for credit form and a certified true copy of your OUA academic transcript to Mrs Lisa Staines, Postgraduate Coordinator at the Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Science.

  5. Once your application for credit has been received, you will be sent a welcome letter containing your University of Adelaide student ID, username and password. The welcome letter is confirmation that you are now a University of Adelaide student and can receive credit for your OUA study and graduate with the Graduate Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

  6. Log into Access Adelaide using the username and password details in your welcome letter and complete the Enrolment Checklist. Please note that step six of the Checklist will ask how you wish to pay for your courses (i.e. payment options), you can indicate any method. This is for administrative purposes only; you will not be enrolling into any courses and therefore you will not be charged.

  7. Please contact Mrs Lisa Staines once you have completed the Enrolment Checklist.

  8. Once the process is complete you will be notified by email to advise you of your next opportunity to graduate.
